I have studied massage therapy since 2013 when I did my first course in Thai Massage (100 hours). A year later I did an Ayurvedic Massage course in India (100 hours) and in 2015 I completed my
Swedish Classical Massage
– Uses no oils
– Focuses on deep tissue
– Releases muscular trigger points
– A mix of lighter and deeper strokes
Ayurvedic Massage
– Typically done with oil and aroma essence
– Generally includes more of the lighter strokes than Swedish and Thai massage
Thai Massage
– Uses no oils
– One of the only massages where you are fully clothed and typically lie on a mattress on the floor (not a massage table)
– Utilizes passive stretches of the body that can be similar to certain yoga postures.
